In August 2011, I debuted the first in-person College Bound Seminar in Central Illinois. The seminars – usually Saturday mornings – immediately grew in popularity, but the problem was scheduling. There are only so many weekends, and I could be in only one location at one time. Some participants drove over three hours – each way – to get to a seminar.
I created the College Bound Channel to provide wider access to the information covered in the seminars. This online video library makes it easier for families to get the information they need regardless of where they live, and they can work around their busy schedules. READ MORE →
Working Together As a Team
Applying to college and earning scholarships is like playing a sport:
- Off-season = 1st through 8th grade
- Pre-season = Freshman/Sophomore years
- In-season = Junior year
- Post-season = Senior year
Too many focus on the "post-season" and ignore the other three segments, leading to a disappointing season finale – limited college options. Parents and students need to work together the entire season.

Seminars: In-Person and Remote Live
These two hour in-person events provide parents and students invaluable insight on how to start looking for colleges, comparing schools, financing, and making that final decision. Remote live options are also available.
There are two different seminars, each covering two objectives. It is ideal to attend both in order (Start, then Finish) but not necessarily, because every family is at a different place in their student’s college bound journey.

“I want to tell you how much we appreciate your College Bound seminars and how it has really benefited all of us... Your timeline ended up being a lifesaver! I wanted you to know what an impact you make on the lives of these kids. You are an incredible instructor, and you provide them with tools to gain the opportunities they otherwise may not have. Not to mention the long term financial impact you have on families. I pray God continues to bless others through the work he has called you to do so well.”
Respectfully, Mel (mom of "The Twins")

Beware of College Consultants or "Coaches"!
They go by many names: college coaches, college consultants, college life coaches, college admissions coaches, among others. They make wonderful promises that they usually cannot keep. In the end, students get hurt and families lose a lot of money.
If you are considering the services of one of these coaches, watch this video first.
It may save you a lot of money and heartache.
