Jason Franklin, ACT prep class instructor

Jason Franklin is a Test Prep Specialist and College Prep Strategist. He has taught ACT/SAT prep classes for over 25 years. Jason debuted his online video class in 2011 and began teaching remote live classes in 2020.

  • Over 95% of his students achieve higher scores after the class.
  • Over 20,000 students have participated in his in-person classes.
  • The average ACT improvement is just over four points.

Jason conducted his first College Bound Seminar in August 2012. Since then, thousands of students, parents, and educators have attended in-person College Bound events. In 2013, he wrote a book, College Bound: A Common Sense Approach.

A former public high school teacher, Jason was nationally recognized with a reputation for teaching students how to overcome math and test anxiety. That work soon led to the development of ACT/SAT prep classes, so more students could benefit from his unique approach. Parents of Jason's students reached out for help navigating college, so Jason began teaching families a successful framework through his "College Bound" programs.

Jason is a National Board Certified Teacher and holds an Illinois Master Teaching Certificate. He has also served as a standardized test developer.
