Jason’s quick thought: I would encourage all parents to read this book. This book illustrates a few important concepts. One, there are parents like this who are highly competitive and drive their children incredibly hard. Two, it is a great example of how NOT to parent: mom is making the decisions and not teaching the children how to make decisions; she is attempting to raise “robots.” Fortunately, there is a happy ending due to the “rebelliousness” of her younger daughter. Warning: the author (mom) is very arrogant and apparently does not know it.
