Justin improves from a 27 to a 31
by Justin
I did the same or better in every subject and improved my math by 3 and science by 9 points! Praise the Lord! I got the exact score that I needed to get that scholarship for Taylor. I don't know for sure if that is the school I want to go to yet (my family is moving to Indiana, so in state tuition for Purdue makes it a possibility now along with other schools), but It is now more than possible!!!
Hi Jason Franklin, this is Justin (the guy who dressed up in the roman noodle costume on halloween). First off I want to thank you for suggesting the book The Sports Gene as one for me to read. It is one of the best books I have ever read and I have been eating it up. It is cool that you helped me find a book that caters to my interest in both running and statistics that helped me prepare for the ACT. Second I want to tell you how I did on the ACT for the April 23rd test.

When I took the test in December I thought that I did well in everything but Science. I did not understand most of the material on the science test and I was overall very confused. I also was disappointed with my math test because I am in Pre-Calc and was expecting a 30 or better.
After going on 6 different college visits, I discovered a college I really liked called Taylor University in Upland IN. I did an overnight and really loved the place. I found that the school offered a $10,000 a year scholarship that would make it possible for me to afford the school along with other scholarship and aide. Unfortunately that scholarship required a 31 on the ACT. My 27 put me on the boarder for their $8,000 a year scholarship. I have a goal of graduating college with no debt, and the $8,000 would make that not possible. (my parents are going to barter and do the whole gig when I actually apply to the school to see if we can get more of course)
Knowing I needed the 31, I went and took your science review class for the April ACT test because that was my weakest score. I then took the ACT again. I understood the material far better and felt good when I left the school.
Here were my scores that just came out...

I want to thank you so much for teaching me your tips and tricks for the ACT. Because of your guidance (and encouragement to read more), I was able to do so much better then I thought possible on the test! I would highly recommend you class to anyone who wants to do better on the test. You kept your material fun, engaging, and very practical. Keep doing what your doing, because God has given you a great ability to teach. I am happy to say that I believe I am done with the ACT!
